A individual previously arrested in connection with the Manchester synagogue attack has been re-arrested at the local airport.

A pair of victims lost their lives when Jihad Al-Shamie, thirty-five, executed a car and knife attack at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on 2 October.

North West Counter Terrorism Police stated the 30-year-old suspect was originally arrested on suspicion of planning, preparing, and instigating of terrorist activities.

Authorities indicated he was detained again at the city airport on suspicion of failing to disclose information in violation of Section 38B of the 2000 Terrorism Act. He has since been granted bail with certain restrictions.

Law enforcement stated they "are confident there is no continuing danger to the general public following the event the previous week."

Six people were held in the aftermath of the incident, with two—a man and a woman—arrested in the hours afterwards and then released on Sunday night.

The following day, detectives announced they had been given additional time to question the remaining four, who were also detained on "suspected planning, preparation, and instigation of acts of terrorism."

On Wednesday, authorities stated they too were set to be released but clarified that "did not mean the investigation was finished."

Also on Wednesday, authorities revealed that the attacker made a 999 call in which he pledged allegiance to the group calling itself Islamic State.

One victim, 66, and 53-year-old another victim died in the violent event on a local road in Crumpsall.

The victim suffered a bullet injury after armed police officers arrived at the incident and shot the attacker fatally.

A police bullet also struck a different individual, Yoni Finlay, who is undergoing treatment after an operation.
